Beyoncé – “Party” f. André 3000 [p. Kanye West, Consequence]

by

Party washes over you like cool summer breeze, thanks in no small part to co-production by Kanye West. The first non-ballad on 4 is also the only song on the record to include a guest appearance by another star. André 3000 is sharp and effortlessly charismatic on his rapped verse, again however, the real attraction here is the track itself, which was produced by Kanye West and Consequence, contains a sample of Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh’s 1985 classic “La Di Da Di”. It delivers a mellow Eighties-style smooth funk groove.
Ladies, ’bout time we got back to flexing on that dance floor.

I bet we’ll see more than a couple remixes here and there through the summer and even “beyonéd”.
Summer has finally got her first feel good hit.
