Google has finally gone into the ebook market, becoming more and more ‘omnipresent’ in our everyday lives. Formerly Google Editions, the book system takes a cue from all who have gone before, viz-a-vis Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and even Apple, and combines them all into one platform sans fancy UI graphics. The key selling point for Google is choice. No longer are you limited to one specific platform, say for example you buy an ebook from Apple’s book store, you pretty much are stuck with reading it via Apple specific channels ! You can’t read your Apple purchased ebook on your Samsung Galaxy Tab. Google now gives you the freedom to choose where you want to read your ebook since they are stored in the cloud and are not , bravo! Now, why didn’t I think of that?
